NEW YORK, NY March 22, 2023—Yeshiva University will hold its annual giving day — The Gift of YU —for 24 hours on Wednesday, March 22, 2023. The University’s philanthropic effort each spring raises important funds for YU priorities, with a special emphasis on student scholarships.
“Because of donor generosity, students have an abundance of riches from which to choose their areas of study: from cybersecurity to chinuch, from physics to psakim, from sociology to shiurim, from return on investment to the law of return,” said Kurt Deschermeier, director of Annual Giving. “When you give the Gift of YU, your contribution enlists you in a cause that began in 1886 and which, over the decades, has brought together the best of Torah learning with the best of the humanities and sciences to forge a spirit deeply committed to continual learning and ethical engagement with the world.”
Donations to The Gift of YU also support Rise Up: The Campaign for 613, which has an ambitious goal of raising $613 million over five years to fund student scholarships, cutting-edge facilities and innovative faculty/programs that will position Yeshiva University for continued success as the flagship Jewish university. The campaign has passed its half-way mark and now stands at $350 million. For more information about Rise Up: The Campaign for 613, go to riseup.yu.edu.
Donors can make a gift at giving.yu.edu, where they will find opportunities to target their gifts to areas that they find most meaningful.
