The United Nations wants to make sure that everyone remembers what a useless and awful organization it is, so every so often they get together for a General Assembly where world leaders can speak in front of a sickly green marble wall that looks like it belongs in a corporate bathroom. Last week, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu spoke at the U.N., and delegates from more than 77 countries walked out in protest. They did so in solidarity with terrorists who would murder every Jew and conquer Western civilization if given the chance, and countries like Spain, Ireland, Norway, Greece, and many others are desperately trying to give them that chance. But Netanyahu didn’t back down. He gave a strong speech that the world needs to listen to, or face bigger problems from radical Islam and its backers.

Netanyahu is known for his visuals and gimmicks during his speeches. This time he wore a QR code on the lapel of his jacket. This code links to footage of the October 7 massacre. Netanyahu hit the Assembly hard from the beginning: “[Hamas] slaughtered 1,200 innocent people, including over 40 Americans, and foreign nationals from dozens of countries represented here. They beheaded men. They raped women. They burned babies alive. They burned babies alive in front of their parents. What monsters.”

It wasn’t just Israelis who were kidnapped or killed on October 7. Citizens of countries like Brazil, Chile, Spain, Peru, and several others were also victims of that attack. These countries are notable because their delegations also walked out of Netanyahu’s speech. Their hatred of Israel is so dense and so all-consuming that they won’t even advocate for their own citizens in the face of this terror. Unlike these countries, Israel will fight back when attacked, and will protect her citizens when they are at risk.

Netanyahu also slammed the countries that just recognized a Palestinian state. “This week, the leaders of France, Britain, Australia, Canada, and other countries unconditionally recognized a Palestinian state. They did so after the horrors committed by Hamas on October 7 — horrors praised on that day by nearly 90% of the Palestinian population. Let me say that again. Nearly 90% of Palestinians supported the attack on October 7.” He called it a “mark of shame” that rewards terror. “You know what message the leaders who recognized a Palestinian state this week sent to the Palestinians? It’s a very clear message. Murdering Jews pays off.”

The number-one issue with a so-called Palestinian state is that it will be a terror proxy state, even if Hamas isn’t running it. “Take the so-called moderate Palestinian Authority,” he said. “You should know that the Palestinian Authority pays terrorists to slay Jews. The more Jews the terrorists slay, the more the Palestinian Authority pays.” His comparison hit hard: “Giving the Palestinians a state one mile from Jerusalem after October 7 is like giving Al-Qaeda a state one mile from New York City after September 11.” Israel won’t accept that, he said. “We won’t let the world shove a terror state down our throat.”

He blamed the walkouts on weak leaders giving in to pressure. “They buckled under the pressure of a biased media, radical Islamist constituencies, and antisemitic mobs. There’s a familiar saying: when the going gets tough, the tough get going. Well, for many countries here, when the going got tough, you caved.” This gets to the bigger issue: radical Muslim groups are growing in Europe and pushing governments to side with Palestinian propaganda. In places like France, Britain, Spain, and Ireland, large Muslim populations from immigration have changed politics. These groups, often tied to extreme ideas from the Muslim Brotherhood or similar, demand support for Palestine or cause trouble. Protests turn violent, with anti-Israel chants and attacks on Jews. Leaders cave to avoid riots or lose votes. Palestinian propaganda, spread by funded media and U.N. votes, plays on this. It paints Israel as the bad guy while ignoring Hamas’s crimes.

In Ireland, Muslim numbers have jumped 30 percent in recent years, and now anti-Israel views dominate. Norway and Greece face the same pressures from their immigrant communities. France’s Macron and Britain’s Starmer recognized a Palestinian state to calm their streets, not because it’s right. Italy refused to join in the recognition of a false Palestinian state, and Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni had to deal with riots around her country. It’s fear, not principle. Radical elements use the Gaza war to recruit and spread hate, making Europe less safe.

This isn’t just Europe. Look at Dearborn, Michigan, where Arabs are the majority. It’s a warning for America. The Dearborn Heights Police Department tried an “optional” uniform patch with “Dearborn Heights Police” in English and, for the first time ever, Arabic. Even though they paused it after backlash, it shows how quickly groups can take over major American cities while pushing thoroughly non-American ideologies. Polling in Dearborn shows high levels of support for Hamas — not Palestinians, Hamas — after the October 7 attacks. This is why a Wall Street Journal opinion article in February 2024 called Dearborn “America’s Jihad Capital.”

Then there’s the mayor, Abdullah Hammoud. At a city council meeting, he told a Christian resident, Ted Barham, “You’re not welcome here.” Barham is a minister who’s lived there his whole life. Barham’s “crime” was protesting a street renaming after Osama Siblani, an Arab journalist who regularly praised Hamas and Hezbollah and hailed Hezbollah leader Hassan Nasrallah as a hero.

In response, Mayor Hammoud called him racist and told him that, “Although you live here, I want you to know, as mayor, you are not welcome here, and the day you move out of the city will be the day that I launch a parade celebrating the fact that you moved out of this city.” Hammoud wouldn’t apologize later, even after demands. He just said the city welcomes everyone, but his words said otherwise. In Dearborn, criticizing certain views gets you labeled and pushed out.

The so-called “Free Palestine” movement has never cared about Palestinian lives or peace. The Western leftists who joined the movement because it’s the latest cause célèbre are the willing puppets of an invasive ideology that seeks to take over Western civilization. Look at how quickly activist Greta Thunberg turned from climate change being her life’s mission to now focusing solely on Gaza. There is no meaning or conviction behind their words, only a narcissistic desire to be loved and admired by the sheep who gobble this up.

The latest proof, if any was needed, of how little these people care about Palestinians is the reaction to the recently announced peace plan by Trump and Netanyahu. This plan guarantees an end to the war, peace for Gazans, and a rebuilding plan for Gaza. It even releases hundreds of Palestinian terrorists in exchange for innocent hostages, alive and dead. The “Free Palestine” crowd denounces it (even though nearly all Arab countries support it). They are willing to fight until the last Palestinian is dead, because they themselves are risking nothing. If world leaders had any spine, they would see how these sociopaths are reacting and treat them accordingly.

The world needs to listen to Netanyahu. Ignoring him means more terror spreading from the Middle East to Europe and America. Caving to demands from radicals does not end their demands; it emboldens them to make more, to push farther, and to take everything. Europe is seeing that. America needs to recognize this. The world must heed Netanyahu’s words, not walk out on them.
