HANC High School Girls’ Winter Extreme trip kicked off on Wednesday, February 4. The girls began our trip with a lively glow-in-the-dark dodgeball game followed by a wonderful dinner. After this, we boarded buses to travel to the hotel in New Jersey.
Ezra Academy’s sophomore class spent an uplifting and memorable Shabbaton this past weekend in Woodmere, graciously hosted by the Congregation of Aish Kodesh and the broader Woodmere community. The Shabbaton offered students a meaningful blend of spiritual growth, community connection, and grade-wide bonding.
The Yeshiva of Central Queens (YCQ) hosted a beautiful Melave Malkah this past Motzaei Shabbos. This year’s event centered around the theme of Tefilah. From the creative Asher Yatzar plaques, to the inspirational story from Mrs. Amit Yaghouhi, the evening was filled with reflection and inspiration.
Tu BiShvat was celebrated at Lev Chana and HALB with delicious fruit, planting activities, and – thanks to the PTA – a fun chocolate fountain for the elementary school to dip fruit in!
Last week, the Meet the Author Book Club traveled to the LIU Performing Arts Center, where students had the opportunity to hear from world-renowned author Malcolm Gladwell.
Talmidim in grades 11 and 12 from the Business and Entrepreneurship class spent an immersive afternoon on Wall Street, turning classroom learning into a real-world experience. The visit gave students a front-row look at the history, energy, and impact of the financial district that helped shape modern markets.
