The much-anticipated 7th and 8th Grade Girls Shabbaton began at the beautiful Honors Haven Resort last Friday. Upon arrival, students spent the afternoon swimming and participating in exciting pre-Shabbat ruach with DJ Eli Arshadnia to welcome in Shabbat with singing and dancing. The energy continued throughout the evening.

Headlining good news: The Yeshiva University High School for Girls (Central) has officially accepted the class of 2030! The newest crop of YUHSG students were notified last week with warmth and cheer. They were also invited to an incredible event, helping them to “Learn S’more About Central”! The evening was filled with laughter, games, and of course, delicious s’mores-making stations at each table. Welcome home, Wildcats!

The Middle School boys enjoyed a beautiful Tisch for Adar. They dressed up in their favorite jerseys and danced and sang with their rebbeim. The ruach and excitement was incredible!

Cultivating b’not Yisrael who are expressive communicators is integral to Hadar Bet Yaakov’s vision of our next generation’s leaders. HBY emphasizes public speaking and debate throughout the curriculum with STEM students regularly assigned presentations, English students engaging in literature debates as well as formal public speaking classes, and HBY Speakers and Debate Club.

Thanks to the blizzard, this past school week was short, but the Yeshiva University High School for Girls (Central) made it count in every way. On Wednesday, February 25, YUHSG’s student-engineers braved the snow and ice to travel to the 8th annual city Hackathon, hosted by the Center for Initiatives in Jewish Education (CIJE) at Industry City in Brooklyn.

Ezra Academy students continue to demonstrate a high level of enthusiasm and school pride through their involvement in a wide range of extracurricular activities, with multiple teams earning notable successes this week. From competitive academics to athletics and the arts, student participation remains a defining feature of school life at Ezra.
