MTA is proud to welcome an outstanding group of new faculty members for the 2025–2026 school year. With diverse backgrounds and a shared passion for Torah, learning, and student growth, these educators bring tremendous energy and talent to the yeshiva.

Rabbi Naphtali Sudwerts has been appointed Director of Student Life & Programming and 9th Grade Halacha and Tanach Rebbe. He earned his B.A. from Lander College for Men, received semicha from its Kollel, and holds an M.A. in Educational Leadership. Rabbi Sudwerts co-authored The Kosher Kitchen Handbook and spent 15 years at Yeshiva Darchei Torah, serving in both educational and administrative roles.

Rabbi Moshe Barth

Mr. Tuvia Abramov joins MTA as Chair of the Math and Science Departments. He holds degrees from the Culinary Institute of America, Baruch College, and a Master’s in Special Education. Mr. Abramov’s students have ranked in the top 10% nationwide in math, and under his guidance, robotics teams have won multiple championships.

Rabbi Moshe Barth brings years of experience in both Judaic and general studies, having taught at HAFTR High School and Mesivta of Long Beach. A graduate of Yeshivat Netiv Aryeh, Yeshiva Sh’or Yoshuv, and the Mir, Rabbi Barth joins MTA as a Rebbe.

Mr. Natan Samoch joins the Hebrew faculty, bringing extensive teaching experience across ages and literacy levels. He looks forward to inspiring talmidim and strengthening their mastery of Lashon Hakodesh.

Mr. Ariel Jerushalmy

Mr. Ariel Jerushalmy enters the History Department after beginning his career in finance. With a degree in Economics and a joint Master’s in Education and Social Studies from Brooklyn College, he has taught Global, American, AP European, and Economics, and will now add AP World History to his courses.

Shua Pariser returns to his alma mater as part of the Student Activities team. A RIETS talmid pursuing a degree in Judaic Studies with plans for an M.S.W. at Wurzweiler, Shua has served as Shoel U’Meishiv for the Dorm Night Seder program, Head RA, and Division Head at Camp Regesh.

Rabbi Sam Drazin will teach Pirkei Avos this year. A graduate of Yeshivat HaKotel, Yeshivat Kerem B’Yavneh, and YU (Computer Science and Mathematics), he is currently in his third year of semicha at RIETS.

Rabbi Efraim Greenberg, an MTA alumnus, returns after learning at Yeshivat Sha’alvim and graduating from YU’s Sy Syms School of Business with a degree in Accounting. He is now in his third year of semicha at RIETS, following a year at YU’s Gruss Kollel in Israel.

Rabbi Sam Sicklick will be teaching Navi. A graduate of Yeshivat Sha’alvim and Yeshiva University, he is pursuing semicha at RIETS while also completing a Master’s in Computer Science at Georgia Tech.

With this exceptional group of educators, MTA looks forward to a year of Torah, growth, and continued excellence in both Judaic and general studies.
