On Wednesday, December 4, Chabad On Campus of Queens brought Belev Echad to campus, to showcase two Israeli soldiers who were wounded in battle.
Last week, under the leadership of Joey Hoenig, HAFTR’s Director of Athletics, the HAFTR Hawks sponsored a visit to the Five Towns by two representatives from the Israel Sports Center for the Disabled, for an exhibition game and to educate HAFTR students, families, and members of the community about the organization.
In honor of Parshas Chayei Sarah, Yeshivat Merkaz HaTorah hosted their Fourth Annual Mommy & Me Challah Bake on Sunday, November 17. The school mothers and students gathered together to celebrate and learn all about the special mitzvah of baking challah. Every year, the mothers of the school make an effort to rearrange their schedules in order to attend.

It is an important Central tradition for each grade to embark on a couple of chesed missions throughout the year. The freshmen had their first taste of this last week, when the grade split up into groups to help out the needy in various places. Some went to Yachad Gift to help special needs employees package gift baskets for Chanukah, and others did similar work at the Met Council.
