In the past week, the sheer number of revelations into the investigations surrounding Hunter Biden’s overseas schemes has implicated his father, President Joe Biden, and the Obama administration. There’s no two ways about this: The allegations brought forward deserve to be fully investigated by the House of Representatives, which should begin impeachment proceedings immediately.
The released unclassified FBI documents reveal allegations that then-Vice President Joe Biden and his son Hunter Biden coerced the co-founder and CEO of Burisma, Mykola Zlochevsky, into paying them millions of dollars. The payments were supposedly in exchange for pressuring the Ukrainian government to fire Prosecutor Viktor Shokin, who was investigating the company. Zlochevsky allegedly mentioned having 17 recordings, two of which involved Joe Biden and the rest involved Hunter Biden, suggesting that they were somehow coerced into receiving payments to ensure Shokin’s dismissal. Zlochevsky stated that he was pushed to pay the Bidens, and he used the Russian term “poluchili,” which can imply being forced or coerced to pay. The documents also suggest that Zlochevsky believed his financial dealings with the Bidens would remain undisclosed, and he claimed that he did not send funds directly to the “Big Guy,” understood to refer to Joe Biden. The FBI informant noted that such bribes were common in post-Soviet countries like Russia and Ukraine.
House Oversight Committee Chairman James Comer (R-KY) continues to investigate the Biden family, delving into bank records that reveal transactions from Ukraine and Russia. Comer believes that Joe Biden has been selling access to enemies for decades, and the committee aims to expose any potential family bribes that may have influenced the president’s decisions.
The Heritage Foundation’s Oversight Project is also actively involved in uncovering the truth, fighting Hunter Biden’s plea deal, and seeking transparency in the government’s actions. Comer even speculated that former President Barack Obama might have been aware of the alleged schemes run by the Biden clan, which would explain why Biden didn’t run for president in 2016, and why Obama didn’t endorse Biden until very late in the 2020 primaries.
Upcoming testimony before Congress from Devon Archer, Hunter Biden’s former best friend and business partner, is expected to say that Joe Biden was directly involved in meetings with foreign business partners and investors. These encounters were facilitated by Hunter, who would call his father and put him on speakerphone during these gatherings. Such actions suggest a disturbing lack of separation between Biden’s personal interests and his official duties.
One noteworthy instance occurred in Dubai in December 2015. After a board meeting of the Ukrainian energy company Burisma, which paid Hunter $83,000 a month as a director, Joe Biden was called via speakerphone by Hunter and introduced to Burisma executives. Archer is expected to testify about this and other similar incidents before the House Oversight Committee.
The timing of these interactions raises eyebrows. Notably, just three days after the Dubai speakerphone call, Joe Biden was scheduled to address the Ukrainian parliament about corruption and cronyism. The fact that Burisma’s owner urgently requested a phone call with Joe Biden, combined with the subsequent firing of a Ukrainian prosecutor investigating Burisma after Biden threatened to withhold $1 billion in US aid, warrants further investigation into the former vice president’s actions.
It is crucial to recognize the potential consequences of such entanglements. As Joe Biden was the Obama administration’s point man for Ukraine, his interactions with foreign business entities tied to his son’s dealings raise questions about his ability to remain impartial and prioritize the nation’s interests over personal gain. While Democrats try to obfuscate the story by deflecting to President Trump or claiming that Hunter is a “private citizen,” they can no longer deny that Joe Biden has been directly linked with Hunter’s business dealings – despite what Biden said until this point.
Tony Bobulinski, another former business partner, has corroborated the allegations against Joe Biden. He recounted instances when Hunter offered to get his father on the phone during business meetings, emphasizing Joe’s availability to take calls at any time, regardless of his official schedule.
Archer is expected to testify about two dinners Hunter organized for his VP father to meet foreign business partners from Ukraine, Russia, and Kazakhstan. Such interactions further highlight the potential conflicts of interest that plagued Joe Biden’s presidency. The claims made by the FBI document, which described an alleged $10 million bribe paid to Joe and Hunter Biden to ensure the firing of a Ukrainian prosecutor, are extremely troubling.
Then there’s the IRS whistleblower testimony. During his testimony before Congress, IRS special agent Joseph Ziegler revealed that he faced numerous obstacles while investigating Hunter Biden. When asked if he uncovered evidence of President Joe Biden financially benefiting from his son’s deals, Ziegler declined to answer, citing the difficulty in asking questions related to the president. He expressed frustration with the lack of approval to interview Hunter Biden’s adult children, whose expenses were relevant to the investigation. Ziegler believed that not all taxpayers were treated equally, suggesting that the investigation faced roadblocks and challenges that hindered its progress.
So, there are at least two federal agencies, the IRS and the DOJ, which seem to be working on behalf of the Biden family, as opposed to the American people. Let’s not forget about the bag of cocaine in the White House and the sham Secret Service investigation that wrapped up without conclusion in under two weeks. It seems like government officials everywhere are trying to protect the Bidens from themselves.
The ridiculous part of all of this is that the country would probably be very accepting of high-level politicians and families getting away with all of this. “Price of doing business” would be what most people would say as they shrugged their shoulders. But these very same agencies were meticulous and thorough when examining every speck of dust in the Trump White House, and seemingly forgot how to tie their own shoes regarding Biden. The double standard and coverup is far worse than any alleged crime committed by the Bidens. So, House Republicans must use their oversight power and get to the bottom of this immediately, or they are as irrelevant and useless as the agencies that allowed this coverup in the first place.
