Mayor de Blasio and Sanitation Commissioner Kathryn Garcia this past Monday announced the end of twice-weekly street cleanings, the most dramatic reform to Alternate Side Parking (ASP) in decades. Beginning Monday, June 29, the City will resume ASP regulations for one week. Going forward, residential streets will be cleaned no more than once per week.

This year, Bnos Malka offered an incredible program, Names Not Numbers©, as an elective for the eighth grade. The students had the opportunity to interview and film four Holocaust survivors to create a powerful documentary under the guidance of Mrs. Tova Fish Rosenberg, and our school director, Ms. Atara Kanner.

In this week’s parshah we learn that the sons of Korach did not follow their father’s ways or his teachings, as it states, “And the sons of Korach did not die (Numbers 26:11).” The sons of Korach were spared from the fate decreed upon their father because they did not follow in his ways.
