Local Shuls Call For Increase In Volunteer Security Detail

The ten grueling hours of uncertainty at Congregation Beth Israel in Colleyville, Texas, this past Shabbos prompted synagogues and schools to ensure their readiness once again if the unthinkable were to occur.

Some call it funny math and others chalk it up to budget tricks, but no matter how you slice it, New Yorkers are being gas-lit, as Mayor Bill de Blasio and his entourage of City Hall harlequins continue down a destructive path of appeasing the Defund the Police movement and stripping the New York Police Department of $1 billion – a sixth of its annual budget – as the City sets to iron out its budget amid a $9 billion deficit.

New York City - and the Jewish world - is in mourning after a mass shooting at a Midtown Manhattan office building on Monday left four people dead and one critically wounded. Among the victims were two young Jewish professionals: Wesley LePatner, 43, a senior managing director at Blackstone, and Julia Hyman, 27, an associate at Rudin Management.
