On Sunday, August 21, Rabbi Yaniv Meirov, CEO of Chazaq and rav of Congregation Charm Circle in KGH, shared an enlightening shiur on the power of sh’miras ha’lashon for a merit for a r’fuah sh’leimah for Netanel Shai ben Devorah. This was the Number 45 shiur of this weekly shiur on sh’miras ha’lashon, which was started last August by the grandfather of Netanel Shai, Tuvia Sablosky, as a z’chus for this baby who was born with his jaw locked tight so he cannot eat, etc. The Biala Rebbe advised the family to do these shiurim for a z’chus for a r’fuah sh’leimah.
On Sunday evening, July 31, Rabbi Yitzchak Breitowitz, well-known speaker and rav at Ohr Somayach in Yerushalayim, shared a beautiful virtual shiur on behalf of Let’s Get Real with Coach Menachem. He spoke about the age-old question of “tzadik v’ra lo” or “Why do righteous people suffer?”
On Tuesday evening, August 23, Shira Smiles, well-known speaker from Eretz Yisrael, delivered a live, powerful shiur at the Young Israel of Holliswood about the month of Elul and how to approach it properly. She noted that we are used to freedom to make our own choices. We don’t want to be told what to do. That was Adam’s struggle and challenge. Do we have the ability to listen and to give of ourselves to Hashem? The greatest person who ever lived was Moshe Rabbeinu and he was an anav.
This past Tish’ah B’Av, we sadly had to gather for a fast and day of mourning once again, but Chazaq and TorahAnytime made it possible for 490,427 live-stream viewers, 217,662 viewers from around the world, to view inspiring Torah shiurim. There were over 70 speakers – all in just 24 hours.
