It’s very easy to get the impression that our political leaders don’t know how to manage money.  After all, the deficit is soaring, the national debt is staggering, inflation refuses to be tamed, and things have been getting worse for decades.  But this is true when leaders manage OPM – other people’s money.  They’re quite savvy when managing their own.   

Finally, after years in development, billions spent on research, setbacks, progress, fanfare, and hoopla, it can truly be said that flying cars will be perfected and available for purchase – in just a few years.  That is, if all goes as planned.

Greenland, the largest island in the world, is known for its natural beauty, its fish industry, abundant natural resources, and strategic location, among other assets.  Donald Trump, the former and next President, thinks so highly of Greenland that he wants the U.S. to purchase it.  There’s just one problem with his plan: Greenland is not for sale.  

You’ve undoubtedly heard stories about judges who don’t prosecute felons, giving the impression that anything and everything goes these days.  There are instances of this happening, but for the most part that’s not the case, and here’s the proof: At the end of 2023 the U.S. had the highest number of prisoners in the world, and that number has increased since then.  There are more than 1.8 million Americans behind bars now – approximately 100,000 more than there are in China, whose population is three times ours. 

Drones have been in the headlines since mid-November and we’ve been hearing about them nonstop since then.  This is one of the few stories that doesn’t go away.  And that everybody has an opinion about.   

Get ready!  Food prices are rising yet again.  And we don’t those mean exotic, imported foods.  We’re talking about the staples that we eat every day.
