The 75th anniversary of the liberation of Auschwitz was just highlighted and given special attention around the globe. Unfortunately, the lessons of the Holocaust have not sunk in. American Jews have a right to be frightened by the turn of events and the blatant acts of anti-Semitism that have increased exponentially. To make matters worse, much of the rhetoric that is feeding the present-day anti-Semitism is coming from the left. The Democratic Party, whether it wants to admit it or not, is being held hostage by Alexandra Ocasio Cortez, Ilhan Omar and Rashida Tlaib.

On June 27, 1967, Israel annexed so-called “East Jerusalem” into the Jerusalem Municipality. This created a united Jerusalem which has stood the test of time. Jerusalem will not and cannot be divided ever again.

President Trump has done more to advance civilization than most of the Great Leaders who have come and gone. He has brought G-d back into America. He has brought honor and glory back to our Armed Forces. He has not been given the credit he deserves. He has withstood attacks the likes of which the world has never seen. He is a born leader. Even some on the other side of the aisle would admit this, even if they can’t tolerate his character or personality. His leadership has actually brought a semblance of order to the world. The fact that the Gulf Oil States showed up (or wrote letters of support) to the White House with the President and Prime Minister of Israel says volumes.

The targeted assassination of Major General Qassim Soleimani was one of President Trump’s boldest and bravest moves to date. It outdoes his elimination of ISIS leader Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi (See my article “Trump’s Middle East Shakeup Led to Killing of Al-Baghdadi,” 11/4/19).

I had the honor and privilege of speaking to Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu this past week. I thanked him for all of his accomplishments, and especially for advancing the Jewish People and the State of Israel beyond belief. As the longest acting prime minister in Israel’s history, he has reached a pinnacle very few - if any - will ever achieve. He has done it with brilliance and flair. He has a lot more to accomplish and he is the right prime minister to pull it off. In medicine and in other fields as well, we live by the principle that “if it ain’t broke, don’t fix it.”
