Lev Chana has already begun their Chanukah workshops. Each morning, another class invites their parents in for a special presentation of songs followed by Chanukah crafts. The children and parents all have a great time singing and doing arts and crafts together!

It is no secret how much children love pizza. The mere mention that that’s what’s for dinner has them beaming. The BMA Children Helping Children campaign has delivered over 800 pizza pies to families living in Mitzpeh Yericho and to the 75 displaced families from the south now staying in that area. The stream of emails the school has received with pictures and letters shows how a small little effort means so much to others. This letter from the Hazan family of Sderot is just one example:

In a remarkable display of unity and commitment, members of the Yeshiva Sha’arei Zion Girls High School recently participated in the March for Israel held in Washington, DC. The event brought together many of the YSZ girls, Mrs. Zerykier, menahelet; several faculty members; Rabbi Avraham Fridman, principal, YSZ Elementary; some of his eighth grade students; and members of the Bukharian community, collectively representing our community’s unwavering support for Israel.

The boys in Rabbi Pollak’s fourth grade class at Yeshiva Tiferes Moshe are learning up a storm. They almost finished Parshas Sh’mos and look forward to the siyum and starting the next parshah. They have completed the first perek of Mishnayos B’rachos and have moved on to the next perek.

The Yeshiva of Central Queens Third Grade put on a spectacular performance at the annual Intergenerational Melaveh Malkah on Motza’ei Shabbos, November 11. Students beautifully sang Havdalah and Motza’ei Shabbos-themed songs, under the musical direction of Morah Tali Spector. The evening also featured a magic show by Yoel Hecht, a delicious dinner, and a wonderful opportunity for students, parents, grandparents, and teachers to connect with each other. Special thanks to the Third-Grade teachers, Mrs. Lucks, Ms. Laffer, Morah Etty, and Morah Salek, for all their efforts!
