Yeshiva Sha’arei Zion and its affiliate boys and girls elementary schools, boys high school Yeshiva Tiferet Tzion, and girls high school alongside the greater Beth Gavriel Congregation community, invited Forest Hills families to its annual Back To School Celebration in conjunction with Queens Shmira.

The Sunday funday took place along 68th Road between 110th and 112th Streets, and welcomed children for four hours of nonstop excitement. Entertainment included a number of bounce houses, freshly popped popcorn, the music of Deejay Avraham, professional animal balloon making, Insane Raffles with fantastic prizes, fresh cotton candy, delicious soft-serve ice cream from a kosher truck, and, above all, the camaraderie of friends and family yet again making for a wonderfully orchestrated event that brought out the whole community.

Much thanks to New York City Council Member Lynn Schulman, Pesach Osina of the New York City Council’s Community Engagement Division, David Aronov of the UJA, and Rabbi Tomer Zino and Simcha Musheyev of Beth Gavriel for the participation. I conclude with Rabbi Zino’s heartfelt blessing, “May we merit to see much nachas from our children as they start yeshivah once again!”
