IDF Sgt.-First Class Jonathan Chazor, 22, a soldier in the Shaldag Unit from Katzir, was killed on November 7 in clashes in the northern Gaza Strip, the IDF Spokesperson’s Unit reported. Chazor is the son of Assemblymember David Weprin’s beloved cousins Avner and Defy Chazor, and brother of Ailey.
On October 7, the day of the terrible massacre, Jonathan was on a trip to Sri Lanka. He immediately returned to Israel because there was nothing more important to him than standing by his friends. There is no place Jonathan wanted to be more than fighting side by side with his unit in defense of Israel. He believed with all his heart that this was his role in our world.
