Years ago, a book was printed in Jerusalem by Dvar Yerushalayim titled The Disputation by an anonymous author. The book is an account of a rabbi’s dispute with a highly placed priest in London. As the name implies, the book details an ongoing dispute between the rabbi and the priest on the fundamentals of their faith. The author asks that no one attempt to reveal his identity or that of the priest, as it could be very hurtful to the priest, being that the rabbi apparently bested him.

Chaskel Bennett, an outspoken Jewish leader with roots right here in Kew Gardens Hills, wrote an outstanding article for JNS on January 24. If given some thought, the article opens the doorway to understand how thoroughly hypocritical and ridiculous the Left is. Meaningless gestures or statements are twisted to attack or for character assassination – their specialty.

I’m one of those Jews who gets bothered by the small stuff. I’m living in Baltimore for about two and a half years now, and I take note of a lot of little oddities. Yet these oddities may define the town. My kids think that I am annoyed by these issues, but I am really amused, not annoyed. Peri and I very much miss the wonderful community of Kew Gardens Hills, but we have adjusted well to things here, baruch Hashem.
