Yeshiva University is pleased to announce that nine students have been named undergraduate valedictorians of its 2025 graduating class. They and their fellow classmates will graduate at the University’s 94th Annual Commencement Ceremony to take place at Louis Armstrong Stadium at the USTA Billie Jean King National Tennis Center on Thursday, May 22, 2025, at 1 p.m. EST. The following are excerpts from interviews with each of the valedictorians to learn about their courses of study, experiences at YU and plans for the future.

The Yeshiva of Central Queens (YCQ) marked Yom HaZikaron with meaningful and age-appropriate ceremonies for our students in grades 3-8. Students honored the memory of fallen soldiers and victims of terrorism and were inspired by the heroic sacrifices they made to ensure the establishment and continuation of Medinat Yisrael. Students in grades 5-8 had the special opportunity to hear from Yehonatan Asayag, an IDF soldier who grew up in Queens.

At YSZ HS for Girls, we commemorated two significant days of reflection and celebration. On Yom HaZikaron, the girls watched a powerful and emotional video depicting the lives of chayalim in the aftermath of October 7. The program was both moving and meaningful: an opportunity to honor those we’ve lost and express deep gratitude to the soldiers who continue to fight for the Jewish nation.
