The work of Boots For Israel, originated by the Young Israel of Holliswood lay leadership, is well known to our readers. This past Sunday, February 4, talmidim and talmidos from North Shore Hebrew Academy elementary and high school, and Yeshiva Har Torah, along with their families, united for Israel in a mega boot-packing event at Great Neck Synagogue. The program began with an inspirational Minchah that was the perfect segue into a huge chesed undertaking. Fresh pizza was the perfect treat for the young volunteers.

Everyone who attended agreed that the event was truly beautiful. It was a stunning sight to watch the children, their siblings, and parents work together to prepare notes of thanks to the soldiers, as others were fully engrossed in the manual labor that it took to organize a whopping 6,000 pairs of boots. The boots were then arranged by size in luggage to be transported to awaiting chayalim, who desperately need proper footgear as they continue to protect Eretz Yisrael.

Special thanks is extended to the generous sponsors who made this Boots For Israel event a smashing success!
