Hadar Bet Yaakov students lit their school with Chanukah simchah this past week with a chagigah, dance time, beautiful gift-sharing, doughnut making, cookie decorating, teacher parties, Chanukah Jeopardy, and Chanukah ice-skating. The plethora of activities wove into the students’ week as girls had academic classes “enlightened” with a little extra fun during the Chanukah week.

Mrs. Warshavchik ended her Algebra and AP Statistics classes with her doughnut-maker doughnuts along with toppings and powdered sugar and Mrs. Tokov hosted her tenth grade English class for a delicious Chanukah get-together in her home.

Rabbi Avrohom Hecht, Executive Director of Project Lead, always generously sponsors HBY’s annual Chanukah ice-skating trip, and the girls were so honored to be a part of Project LEAD and the tremendous chesed work they do for our elderly Holocaust survivor community. The skating rink was filled with Chanukah music as girls danced away on the ice.

HBY students are excited to carry Chanukah’s light into the ongoing school year.  Hadar Bet Yaakov prioritizes student integrity and personal growth along with academic achievement and promotes its students becoming their best selves through holiday activities and events.
