On Tuesday, June 1, the Stella K. Abraham High School for Girls members of the second-year cohort of RISE (Reach with Independent learning Scholars and Enriching Experiences) took an exciting and educational trip to United Skates of America. The girls enjoyed a hands-on STEM experiment about the role of gravity in roller skating. After a delicious lunch, they enjoyed putting their learning into practice as they skated around the rink!

Following the trip, the RISE scholars had a special program in the evening to present their independent learning project that they had worked on throughout the year. Each girl discussed how RISE impacted her and what was her favorite part of the year-long program. The SKA RISE Program provides an exciting, interdisciplinary, educational platform for students who are interested in exploring academic opportunities beyond the classroom with independent learning, visiting scholars, and special trips.

Thanks go to Dr. Chana Glatt, SKA Director of RISE, for her guidance and support.
