Khal Adas Yereim of Kew Gardens promotes a community-wide yarchei kallah shiur each legal holiday.
On Memorial Day, this past Monday, Rav Yitzchok Knobel, longtime chaver and chavrusa of Rav Shlomo Teitelbaum zt”l, delivered pre-taped divrei zichronos in memory of the former mara d’asra, whose fifth yahrzeit was this past Shabbos, the day before Lag BaOmer.
For more than 50 years, Rav Teitelbaum was mashpia over his Kew Gardens k’hilah following in the footsteps of his illustrious father and also mara d’asra, Rav Yaakov “Reb Yankele” Teitelbaum, who was niftar in 1968. The event was sponsored by the members of the shul’s presidium.
