For the last month, Central seniors have participated in the annual post-Pesach Senior Seminar. The program is designed to target the needs and interests of the seniors as they transition into the “real world.” It is an opportunity to provide special programming and speakers to address this momentous transition in their lives.

Rabbi Shmuel Y. Levin, Rosh Yeshiva of Telshe Yeshiva of Chicago, visited Yeshiva Sha’arei Zion of Queens to share divrei chizuk. The rav was very impressed by the Torah knowledge, warmth, and sincerity of the bochurim.

HALB Lev Chana students went on trips to White Post Farm and Green Meadows Farm last week. The weather was perfect, as our children jockeyed for the best positions to see, feed, and touch the animals. Pony rides, parrots perched on children and moros, picnic lunches, gigantic wooden and plastic structures for climbing, and ginormous giraffes to feed and pet were just a few of “my favorite things to do at the farm!”

Throughout the year, the Back To The Future Rosh Chodesh Program at BYQ has been highlighting a famous woman each month. The girls have become familiar with these role models, learning about their outstanding midos and the mitzvos close to their hearts. Each month, they received a card with a picture of the woman on one side and important facts about her on the other. The girls have been collecting these cards and placing them in a plastic card sleeve.
