The Yeshiva of Central Queens (YCQ) marked Yom HaZikaron with meaningful and age-appropriate ceremonies for our students in grades 3-8. Students honored the memory of fallen soldiers and victims of terrorism and were inspired by the heroic sacrifices they made to ensure the establishment and continuation of Medinat Yisrael. Students in grades 5-8 had the special opportunity to hear from Yehonatan Asayag, an IDF soldier who grew up in Queens.
Future Medical and Business Professionals Honored as Student Commencement Speakers
Four stellar students with sterling character were selected as valedictorians and will serve as student speakers at the 51st annual commencement for Touro’s Lander Colleges to be held May 25 at Lincoln Center. They represent Touro’s Lander College for Women, Touro’s Lander College for Men and Touro’s Lander College of Arts & Sciences.

Yeshiva University is pleased to announce that nine students have been named undergraduate valedictorians of its 2025 graduating class. They and their fellow classmates will graduate at the University’s 94th Annual Commencement Ceremony to take place at Louis Armstrong Stadium at the USTA Billie Jean King National Tennis Center on Thursday, May 22, 2025, at 1 p.m. EST. Grades 5-8 at Yeshiva Tiferes Moshe marked Rosh Chodesh with lively celebrations, made even more special by the addition of the Ki Heim Chayeinu Pesach raffles. Mazal Tov to all the raffle winners, and yasher koach to every talmid who took part in the Pesach program!
