Following President Biden’s call on Israel not to invade Rafah, the last Hamas-held city in the Gaza Strip, Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump offered an alternative plan for the reconstruction of Gaza.
“Trump Katif will offer the best amenities in beach living, comparable to Florida and the piles of rubble from the destruction of Gaza City can be covered and repurposed as Gaza Links, introducing my favorite sport to the region.
Had this plan been announced during a Democratic presidential administration, it would have been condemned by the United States as an apparent violation of international law, subjecting Israel to endless lawsuits and sanctions. “But I get along well with autocrats such as Putin and Kim, they don’t mind when I support Israel, and last time I checked, the club of presidents-for-life keeps adding new members. Bibi has no better friend than me in this exclusive group,” Trump said.
