Thank You

Dear Editor:

All I can say is “Wow.” The letters and articles from the past couple of weeks from parents of children with special needs have been eye-opening. I have a cousin who has a teenager with special needs, and there is a family on my block. We, the public, pretend not to notice or try not to stare too much, and especially try not to think too much about what that family is going through, but now we have a small taste of their life.

Loving The New Speed Limits!

Dear Editor:

My whole community is thrilled about the latest news that the speed limit in school zones is being reduced to a mere 15 mph, and it applies 24 hours a day! We can now scurry leisurely across the street at any time, even before or after school hours when no children will be anywhere in sight.

Protecting our Holiness

Dear Editor:

This past week, a story broke in the Jerusalem Post advertising an upcoming Pride festival in Israel. It was advertised as the biggest Pride festival in the Middle East, happening from June 1 through June 4. It is being promoted as a fabulous, amazing event for men, women, and children, and it will be taking place, of all places, at the Dead Sea. The irony of this news breaking right before the Shabbos Parshah of Kedoshim cannot be lost. This, of course, is only one event: In addition, there will be plenty of others in Israel throughout the month of June, a designated month to celebrate the LGBTQ agenda.
