“Wear It Pink” was the theme of the day at the Stella K. Abraham High School for Girls on Pink Day, Tuesday, February 14! Every variation of the color dominated students’ clothing together with the hallways of the school.

It’s February. The semester has just started, the temperatures are (slowly, but surely) rising, and the days of snow and ice will soon come to an end. There’s no better time to go snow tubing.

Grade 8 Girls Host “39 Melachos Fair”

The eighth-grade girls presented a Lamed-Tes Melachos Fair. Each student researched and prepared one m’lachah with practical applications and activities to present to students in grades 3-7. Each board was so creative and beautiful. The students walked away with a deeper understanding and appreciation for Shabbos. Thank you to Morah Sarit Auerbach for organizing.

The Pre-1A classes at Yeshiva Tiferes Moshe culminated their unit on brachos with a fun Brachos Hunt at Rosenblum’s Supermarket in Kew Gardens. Along with a morah, the boys were divided into groups and had a chance to walk through the store and point out different foods for each brachah. Each boy had a brachos chart and drew a picture of a food in the appropriate box as they «hunted» for the various foods amongst the aisles. Upon finishing, each group purchased a food item with their specific brachah to share with their classmates at their brachos party back at yeshivah! The budding talmidim enjoyed this special trip and it was a great way to finish off their six-week unit of learning all the different brachos.
