Yeshiva of Central Queens (YCQ) proudly marched in the annual Israel Day Parade with hundreds of enthusiastic participants, including students, faculty, parents, alumni, and board members led by Morah Tali Brody, YCQ Music Teacher and Dance Teacher. The YCQ community brought incredible ruach and energy to the streets of New York, standing united in their unwavering support for Israel. A special thank you to Commissioner Tisch and the NYPD, the JCRC, and Ms. Danit Abishour for their dedication and leadership in making this memorable day possible!

At the Yeshiva University High School for Girls, Torah learning is an essential part of student life. Across all four classes, students engage with Jewish texts, traditions, and values, and participate in a wide range of programs designed to challenge and inspire. “The Judaic Studies program is the foundation of what we offer,” said Freshman Grade Dean and Judaic Studies faculty member, Mrs. Karen Lavner, who will also be serving as YUHSG’s Assistant Principal during the 2026-27 school year. “We want to instill a sense of Jewish identity and a meaningful connection with Hashem, as well as the skills and the desire for independent learning, in our students through discussion and rigorous textual study.”

Throughout the school year, a special connection has been blooming between the Pre-1A children of Bais Yaakov of Queens and Bnos Malka Academy. As dedicated pen pals, the classes regularly corresponded, sharing letters, sending thoughtful Chanukah gifts, exchanging festive Purim mishloach manos, and trading many colorful hand-drawn pictures.

The fourth-grade girls at HALB celebrated their history and connections to those who came before them at the M’dor L’dor dinner and performance last week. It was a beautiful night as daughters, mothers, grandmothers and great-grandmothers came to celebrate together.

A new and meaningful chapter in the olam hachinuch is unfolding with the opening of Ateres Shoshana, a girls’ high school in Queens thoughtfully designed to meet the evolving needs of today’s talmidos. Rooted in warmth, excellence, and individualized attention, Ateres Shoshana aspires to be a true makom Torah—a place where every bas Yisroel is empowered to grow, learn, and thrive.
