Tuvia Gubin has long been a personality in Kew Gardens Hills. In celebration of his 42nd birthday, Tuvia invited close friends to Max & Mina's on Main Street for a special celebration. Guests included Jay Kestenbaum, co-president of Ohel Bais Ezra, Gabe Solomon, Five Towns and Long Island distributor of the Queens Jewish Link, Yaakov Serle, co-publisher of the Queens Jewish Link, and renowned orator Rabbi Dovid Goldwasser. Special thanks to Bruce Becker of the ice cream parlor for providing free scoops for the party!

Rabbi Dr. Ari Berman, President of Yeshiva University, has announced the launch of a new pilot graduate program in Israel, beginning in Fall 2022. Called YU Torat Tziyon, this program will allow students to connect with educational, communal, and entrepreneurial thought leaders in Israel’s booming economic and cultural landscape, while delving into the rich heritage of the country.

It seems that Nassau County is also subject to the recent spike in violent crime. The recently-opened Seasons Express on West Broadway in Woodmere fell victim to an armed robbery on Monday evening, March 28.
