Laser Bounce Family Fun Center in Glendale has long been a haven for children seeking fun. Nothing beats the welcoming pings and dings of their arcade games, the joy of children bopping around in the bounce arena, and of course the delight generated when the prize tickets churn out of the gaming machines. Best of all is the laser tag space, where kids get to expend their energy in a fun and safe environment.
On Sunday, March 6, at 6:48 p.m., three men entered The Shops at Atlas Park with a different kind of fun on their minds. The men, each dressed differently - one in a leather jacket, one in a striped shirted, and one in black hoodie - approached the office of the amusement park with robbery on their minds. Police reported that one was tasked with breaking open the safe, while the other two were staged as lookouts with the goal of distracting Laser Bounce staff.
Thankfully, the incident ended without injury or thievery. NYPD Crime Stoppers has posted a $3,500 reward for info on these men and advises the public to call their confidential hotline at (800) 577-TIPS with tips.
