On Monday Morning, November 13, HANC High School seniors boarded a bus and traveled to Solomon Schechter High School where they joined in learning Torah and reciting T’hilim in the merit of the captives in Gaza in hopes that they are freed.
Omer Neutra, a Solomon Schechter alumnus, is one of the 240 captives taken by the terrorist group Hamas. We joined in solidarity and in empathy with the high school to share in their pain, letting them know they are not alone in their suffering.
This profound gathering of students became an emblem for the unity and togetherness of am Yisrael; both in pain and joy we will come and share together, as we agreed that, b’ezras Hashem, once the captives go free and are united with their families, we will gather once more in learning Torah together as a symbol of celebration and gratitude to Hashem.
