The seventh-grade students at the Bnos Malka Academy participated in a special event in honor of becoming a bas mitzvah. At the Gala Breakfast celebrating this important milestone, the girls reflected on the idea that every person is placed in this world for a unique purpose. Drawing inspiration from the remarkable women of Tanach, they explored the strength, courage, and greatness that have been passed down through our shalsheles throughout the generations. The students recognized the tremendous privilege and z’chus of becoming the next n’shei Yisrael and joining the ranks of the women who shaped our history.
As part of the program, each girl designed a personalized apron featuring a woman in Tanach who inspired her. The aprons were proudly worn at the conclusion of the event, showcasing both creativity and meaningful reflection.

The celebration also featured an exciting “Chopped”-style cooking competition. Each group was given the same staple ingredients, along with a mystery ingredient, and challenged to create a culinary masterpiece within 30 minutes. The girls rose to the occasion with impressive teamwork, creativity, and enthusiasm.
Staff members were invited to serve as judges, and each group presented its dish, explaining both the inspiration behind it and the creative ways the mystery ingredient was incorporated. The judges were thoroughly impressed by the girls’ originality, presentation, and hard work, making for a memorable and meaningful event.
