In the days leading up to the Pesach break, Rambam Mesivta warmly welcomed back its alumni for a special Alumni Day, offering alumni a chance to return and reconnect.
The event brought together former students who are currently spending their year learning in Israel. The day provided a meaningful opportunity for alumni to reconnect with their rebbeim, teachers, and friends while re-immersing themselves in the vibrant atmosphere of Rambam.
Alumni participated in engaging Torah classes led by Rosh Mesivta Rabbi Avi Herschman, Assistant Principal Rabbi Avi Haar, and Rabbi Ilan Schimmel (Director of Israel Guidance and rebbi). These inspiring shiurim allowed the returning students to continue their Torah learning while on break from yeshivah in Israel and reconnect with the familiar voices that helped shape their educational journeys.
Following the classes, the alumni enjoyed a luncheon where they had the chance to visit with faculty members and share reflections on their experiences studying in Israel. Many spoke about the personal and spiritual growth they have achieved during their year and expressed appreciation for the strong foundation in Torah and values that Rambam provided.
The atmosphere throughout the day was warm and uplifting, highlighting the sense of community that continues long after graduation. Faculty members expressed their pride in seeing the alumni’s continued dedication to Torah learning and their development as young adults.
Rambam looks forward to maintaining these meaningful connections and to welcoming its alumni back in the years to come. Alumni Day served as a beautiful reminder that, while students may leave the halls of Rambam, they always remain an integral part of its family.
