Charitable grants will provide food to the hungry, send children affected by COVID-19 to summer camp, and create a therapy center

Jewish Communal Fund (JCF) of New York, the largest and most active Jewish donor advised fund in the country, approved nearly $700,000 in charitable grants to Jewish charities through its endowment, the JCF Special Gifts Fund.

New York City is currently faced with a new epidemic: hate crime. Following the recent uptick in antisemitism in New York City, mayoral candidate Andrew Yang wants residents to know that he is the candidate that will tackle the growing problem of rising crime - especially hate crimes, including antisemitism.

The Flatbush Jewish Community Coalition (FJCC), a particularly prominent and powerful group, provided its coveted endorsement to frontrunning mayoral candidate Eric Adams, the morning after New York City’s second mayoral debate, during which Adams stood out as an experienced, calm, and reasoned leaders with a practical vision for the future of the city.

This past Wednesday night, over 200 participants tuned in live to a special town hall for the Far Rockaway and Five Towns communities to learn more about COVID-19 vaccines. The event was co-hosted by a coalition of local organizations including Bikur Cholim of Far Rockaway and the Five Towns, Hatzalah of the Rockaways and Nassau County, JCCRP, and JOWMA.
