Assemblymember Sam Berger (D-Queens) announced that he was officially sworn into office on Thursday, September 14, to represent the 27th Assembly District, encompassing Pomonok, Kew Gardens Hills, Electchester, College Point, Whitestone, as well as portions of Forest Hills and Briarwood.

“I thank everyone who made their voice heard during the special election,” said Berger. “It’s an honor and privilege to represent the residents of the 27th Assembly District, and I am determined to stand up for our district’s unique needs in Albany and make Queens a haven where people of any background can succeed. There are a few months before the legislative session starts, so I encourage constituents to come meet me as we work together toward creating a more prosperous community for everyone who calls this district home.”

Berger also recently opened his district office in the same location as previous Assemblymember Daniel Rosenthal at 159-06 71st Avenue, Flushing. His office stands ready to meet the needs of residents, such as providing information on government services, legal aid resources, unemployment insurance, and small business funding.
