1199SEIU United Healthcare Workers East has officially endorsed Sam Berger campaign for New York State Assembly. 1199SEIU is both the largest private-sector union in New York State, and the largest healthcare workers union in the country. The union represents over 200,000 healthcare workers in New York City, and over 300,000 healthcare workers statewide.
“We are proud to endorse Sam Berger for Assembly District 27,” said Dell Smitherman, 1199SEIU Downstate Political Director. “Sam is a strong advocate on the issues that matter. We need leaders in Albany who will fight for improved public safety, education, and better paying jobs for their constituents, and Sam is the leader who will get it done.”
