At Bet Gavriel on 108th St. in Forest Hills, the community came together for their first-ever hadlakah. A large crowd gathered, with a full dinner held downstairs, while attendees filled the yard for the bonfire. Queens Shmira members were on scene assisting with crowd control and ensuring the bonfire was conducted safely from start to finish.

Scenes from the Ulemer Rav’s medurah outside of Bais Yosef D’Ulem at 141st Street and 72nd Road. The event featured children’s prizes, snacks, hot dogs, and the music of the Mezamrim Choir. Rav Yaakov Yitzchak Friedman also conducted a beautiful Hachnosas Sefer Torah.

Starting at the Annadale Playground at 64th Road and Yellowstone Blvd. led by Rabbi Eli Blokh of Chabad of Rego Park, the celebrants weaved throughout the streets of Forest Hills to the Queens Jewish Center for a Lag BaOmer show, barbecue, bouncy houses, and other activities.
Fresh Meadows

The Ganeinu Academy Lag BaOmer parade went off without a hitch. Rabbi Shmuel Kogan led the march departing the school, housed in the former Utopia Jewish Center. The students marched proud throughout the Fresh Meadows streets, showcasing their Jewish pride.
