Parshas T’tzaveh teaches us about the oil used to light the Menorah: “And you shall command the Children of Israel that they shall take for you pure olive oil, crushed for illumination, to kindle the lamp continually.” The Menorah’s flame was not lit just once, but constantly, reminding us that our connection with Hashem must be steady and consistent.

The pure oil represents the neshamah of every Jew. Even when we feel crushed or challenged, it is often in those moments that our inner light shines the brightest. Through our t’filos, T’hilim, and acts of emunah, we keep that flame alive, bringing light not only into our own lives but into the entire world.

As we read T’hilim, may our prayers rise like the flame of the Menorah – bringing r’fuah to those who need healing and protection to our precious soldiers. May the constant light of emunah illuminate our hearts, and may we always feel Hashem close to us.
