In this week’s parshah, we read of the early life of Yaakov and Eisav, two brothers whose paths could not have been more different. The Torah tells us: “Vayisrotzetzu ha’banim b’kirbah – The children struggled within her.” Even before their birth, Rivkah felt an inner turmoil she couldn’t understand.

What did she do? The pasuk says, “Vateilech lidrosh es Hashem” – she went to seek out Hashem.

From Rivkah Imeinu we learn a powerful lesson: When life feels confusing, when we don’t have clarity, when we feel a “struggle inside” – whether emotionally, spiritually, or practically – our first step is to turn toward Hashem, not away. Before acting, before planning, before worrying, we pause and seek guidance from the One Who truly understands what is happening beneath the surface.

Later in the parshah, Yaakov receives the brachos from Yitzchak – brachos of tal ha’shamayim and sh’manei ha’aretz. These blessings remind us that everything we have, from our parnasah to our spiritual growth, is a combination of effort and Hashem’s brachah. Even when events seem complicated or unexpected, Hashem is guiding every detail with precision.

In our own lives, we all experience moments of tension: decisions about our families, our health, our future. Like Rivkah, may we learn to “go seek Hashem,” inviting Him into our confusion. And like Yaakov, may we merit to receive brachah that is gentle like dew, abundant like rain, and tailor-made for our needs.

May our t’filos this week bring r’fuah, y’shuos, and m’nuchas ha’nefesh to all of klal Yisrael.
