Chazaq, a leading Jewish organization dedicated to strengthening Jewish identity and enriching Jewish education, had the distinct honor of hosting Rabbi David Lau, former Ashkenazi Chief Rabbi of Israel, at its headquarters in KGH.
During his visit, Rabbi Lau met with the directors and key staff members of Chazaq, who shared details of the organization’s diverse initiatives. From community-wide events to various educational programs for public school students, to a kolel in NY and in Israel, and services for Jewish families in need, Chazaq’s impact has been felt across generations and communities.
Rabbi Lau expressed deep admiration for the scope and depth of Chazaq’s work, particularly its focus on strengthening Jewish identity among public school students. In an inspiring statement, he said, “You are going in the way of Avraham Avinu. Because of you, the children know that they are Jewish—they didn’t know they had the merit, until you teach them and you strengthen them.”
Rabbi Lau concluded his visit by offering a heartfelt blessing to Chazaq’s leaders and the broader community, praying for continued success in all of the organization’s endeavors.
“This visit was a tremendous honor for all of us at Chazaq,” said Rabbi Yaniv Meirov, Founder and Executive Director of Chazaq. “We are deeply grateful to Rabbi Lau for his words of encouragement and support. His visit reinforces the importance of our mission and reminds us of the profound impact we can have on the Jewish community by strengthening Jewish education and identity.”
