Last week Project Lead held a memorable luncheon for 40 Holocaust survivors from the Central Queens area at Prestige restaurant.
Rabbi Avrohom Hecht, Executive Director of Project Lead, noted, "we feel fortunate to have over 200 at-risk elderly that we regularly assist. Many of the Holocaust survivors we help have been coming to our agency for the past thirty years. We seek to keep them healthy and independent in their own homes for as long as possible. We would like to recognize the leadership and assistance of Council Members Schulman, Ung, Lee, Gennaro, and Adams, as well as State Senators Addabbo and Comrie, and Assemblymembers Hevesi and Weprin."
Kudos to Assemblymembers Hevesi and Weprin for attending the event. Also Sarah Castelli, who represented Councilwoman Lynn Schulman.
