HaKadosh Baruch Hu
Shows patience
Throughout generations
Of wickedness, injustice,
And their ramifications.
Hashem gathers His army
Of brave daughters and sons
Together in battle;
With His true, faithful ones,
Your promise, Hashem,
The light of Your Torah,
Shines light through the dark,
Convoluted plethora.
Your army, Israel, vigilant,
Musters strength,
Keeps life going,
Showing faith in their future
Without really knowing;
Some are widowed,
Some are orphans,
Some are broken and maimed,
Baring all they sustained
Standing for
Your Great Name.
Among the bravest,
The idealistic Hilltop Youth
Hold the hilltops of Your Holy Land,
Defending the truth
In Judea and Samaria,
They pasture their flocks
Unafraid,
Living by Your word
“Outside the box.”
Please, Hashem,
Remember Pincus,
How he turned back Your rage,
Executed Your vengeance,
Justice assuaged,
Stopped corruption and upheaval,
Boldly took on the job,
Then faced frenzy and fury
Of a murderous mob.
Today, as in those days,
It is our leaders
Who have failed,
Bringing tragedy and hardship
Upon Israel.
Pincus still lives
Within us,
His spirit still thrives;
May his flame give us courage
‘Til Mashiach arrives,
In the simplest
Of Your people,
In Your erudite sages,
The souls of Your heroes
Live on
Through the ages.
You all rise
Like the mist
Of an early spring morn,
Fulfilling the purpose
For which you were born;
Angels in Shamayim
Are pleading your case;
You are Pincus
Walking
In splendor and grace.
On Mount Sinai
HaKadosh Baruch Hu
You healed
Our every flaw:
We all stood, heard, and saw
The gift of Your fiery Law.
We await the time
When you, again, will restore
The limbs lost,
The hearts broken,
Fighting Your Holy war;
Please don’t delay, Father;
Let us see turmoil cease,
And the blessings of Pincus
Your covenant of peace.
