Rabbi Ilan Meirov dedicates his time to overseeing Chazaq’s life-changing programs and serving as one of the Rabbis at the Beth Gavriel Center in Forest Hills.
Between his community work and family life, he finds time to work on some of his writings. This past week, he celebrated the publishing of his fifth book in Israel, together with several of his family and friends. The newest sefer, the fourth in a series entitled Pri Ilan on the Ben Ish Chai, was received warmly by leading Torah Sages.
The Sefardi Chief Rabbi of Israel, Rav Yitzhak Yosef, was gracious enough to host the delegation from New York along with members of the Chazaq Kollel Ohr Aviel, in his home.
Although his schedule is extremely busy, the Chief Rabbi dedicated an hour of his precious time and delivered an in-depth class detailing the many halachic ramifications of the current war between Israel and Hamas terrorists.
He blessed Rabbi Meirov for his newest book, which included a 45-page introduction by the Chief Rabbi, and praised Chazaq’s life-changing outreach work.
Rav David Yosef, head of the prominent Kollel Yechave Da’at, hosted a seudat mitzvah in the Simchah Hall of his beis midrash and granted a question-and-answer session to the guests from New York, which opened everyone’s eyes to the depth of the Torah. He, too, blessed Chazaq’s work in saving so many youth from physical and spiritual harm.
The book was distributed in scores of yeshivos and shuls throughout Israel. In only several days of circulation, it has been received with great joy by rabbanim and laymen alike.
