The Jay and Jeannie Schottenstein Honors Program at YU has just announced its admissions for Fall 2025, and among them are 19 MTA students, an incredible number. This is both far more than any other high school and a significant percentage of the total admitted, a testament to the strength of MTA’s senior class. In fact, the class is so strong that, of the 19, not all of them are even in the top half of MTA’s senior class!

Yeshiva Har Torah’s second graders celebrated the receiving of their first chumashim and it was quite an exciting celebration! Preparations culminated in an incredible Chagigat HaChumash attended by parents and grandparents. The performance included songs about Torah and Eretz Yisrael. It also included a Hebrew skit reenacting the midrash about Hashem offering the Torah to other nations of the world!

Kol ha’kavod to these SINAI@YCQ students, who participated with their counterparts at the Yeshiva of Central Queens in the AMJ (All Mishnah Jr.) program, in which middle school students from 30 schools across the country learn “just two mishnayos a day.” They gathered recently for a siyum celebrating all those students who completed the first masechta, that of Megillah!
