It’s a regular Tuesday afternoon in Queens. Your child is coughing, running a fever — and you’re stuck between school pickups, Zoom meetings, and dinner prep. You call the doctor’s office, only to wait on hold, hoping to speak with a nurse and secure an appointment. Maybe you rush to urgent care instead — where the “quick visit” turns into sitting in a crowded waiting room for hours. By the time you’re seen, the day is gone.
Now, there’s a better way. Mobile Med is transforming local healthcare by sending medical professionals directly into patients’ homes. That means no phone tag, no commuting, no waiting rooms — and, in most cases, no out-of-pocket cost.
While many first discovered Mobile Med right before Shabbos, during a Yom Tov crunch, or late on a Motza’ei Shabbos, the true power of this service is in its everyday convenience. Whether it’s a senior who finds travel difficult, parents juggling a houseful of children, or anyone under the weather, Mobile Med provides a practical alternative to urgent care clinics and doctors’ offices.
Services include sick visits for adults and children; flu, strep, COVID, and UTI testing; B12 shots; treatment for ear infections; and general urgent-care needs. Insurance is billed directly, and, in most cases, there is no charge to the patient. Importantly, Mobile Med is not an alternative to calling Hatzolah in an emergency. It is designed for everyday urgent-care needs at home instead of visiting an urgent care center or doctor’s office.
All Mobile Med staff are actively involved in patient care on a regular basis, ensuring fast, skilled, and familiar care that the community already trusts. A number of the professionals are also Hatzolah members, bringing the same dedication they’ve shown in emergencies into patients’ homes for everyday medical needs. Collectively, the medical team has treated over 10,000 patients throughout their careers, with experience spanning both hospital emergency-room settings and extensive in-home emergency situations.
“What’s great about this service is that the medical professionals who are coming to your home speak your language, medically and spiritually,” says Avi Sipperstein, Vice President of Chaverim of Queens and a former candidate for City Council. “They have been there for us in emergencies and everyday needs, and now they are bringing that same care — with all its halachic sensitivity and professionalism — into our homes.”
Mobile Med is rooted in Torah values. Every visit is infused with kavod, discretion, and respect for halacha. The team understands the unique sensitivities of frum families — from tznius to scheduling — and structures the entire experience around those needs. “Bringing healing into the home isn’t just practical; it’s a fulfillment of the Torah’s values of chesed and kavod habriyos,” notes a Mobile Med technician.
One of Mobile Med’s founders — who prefers to remain anonymous — spent his days and nights during the height of COVID running throughout the community, often providing antibody treatments and IV infusions at no charge. His efforts, driven by a deep sense of responsibility and compassion, reflect the values that continue to guide Mobile Med today.
To bring even greater access and expertise, Mobile Med is working in partnership with ParCare Community Health Network, a large multi-specialty group well known throughout the city. This collaboration brings ParCare’s wide range of services directly into Queens homes — extending care far beyond traditional urgent care.
Mobile Med has also partnered with two local pharmacies — JND in Forest Hills and SNM on Main Street — to provide home delivery of medications immediately after a visit. No lines, no extra stops — just care that comes full circle.
As demand continues to grow, Mobile Med is expanding its team. Employment opportunities are available for licensed medical professionals of all backgrounds, including medical assistants, nurses, phlebotomists, physician assistants, and more. If you or someone you know is medically licensed, this is a chance to join a mission-driven team that is transforming healthcare delivery in Queens.
In a world of Uber rides, DoorDash meals, and Amazon deliveries, Mobile Med offers the same on-demand convenience for healthcare. “People expect things to be seamless and immediate — and rightfully so,” a Mobile Med team member explains. “We’re here to meet that standard by bringing urgent care right into your living room.”
Scheduling a visit is simple and flexible. Patients can call, text, email, or even send a WhatsApp to set up an appointment. Mobile Med currently serves Queens, Great Neck, and nearby areas.
No more waiting rooms. No more traffic. No more juggling kids and commitments. Just expert care — delivered with heart, and brought straight to your home.
