In preparation for Pesach, the Pre-1A classes at Bnos Malka Academy in Queens held a model Seder this week, giving the young students an opportunity to experience the sights, sounds, and traditions of the holiday in an age-appropriate and engaging way.
The girls followed the steps of the Seder, from making Kiddush and dipping karpas, to singing the Mah Nishtanah and enjoying matzah and grape juice, to wearing masks representing the Makos. The program was designed to reinforce what they’ve been learning in class about the significance of the Seder night and the story of Y’tzias Mitzrayim.
The event was enhanced by the presence of Morah Rina Greenberg, the school’s music teacher, who accompanied the students on the keyboard. With her support, the children sang familiar Pesach songs with confidence and enthusiasm, bringing energy and warmth to the gathering.
Bnos Malka’s early childhood program emphasizes experiential learning and a strong foundation in Torah values. The model Seder is one example of how the school brings lessons to life in meaningful, memorable ways for its youngest students.
