Queens Borough President Donovan Richards has endorsed Melinda Katz for re-election as Queens District Attorney.
Richards says:
“For me, Queens public safety is personal. I grew up in southeast Queens and got involved in politics when a close friend of mine as a teenager lost his life to gun violence. Melinda Katz has served the residents of Queens diligently as their District Attorney, and I know her dedication to public safety is just as fervent as mine.”
As Queens DA, Melinda Katz has taken on gun crime, breaking up weapons trafficking rings, and taking illegal weapons off our streets.
Melinda’s proud to have a broad base of support across Queens, including endorsements from over a dozen unions representing the building trades, health care workers, and the court officers she works alongside every day.
Borough President Richards says, “This year, there is only one choice: We must re-elect District Attorney Melinda Katz and not take one step back from the immense progress we have made since she took office three years ago.”
