In another undefeated season, the seventh and eighth grade HALB Lions girls’ soccer team took on the RYNJ Jaguars. The two teams had played each other twice during the regular season, and the games were both nail-biters.
On Sunday, June 3, Shevach High School’s eagerly anticipated annual Mother-Daughter Breakfast took place at the Young Israel of Hillcrest. A full house turned out to enjoy a spiritually uplifting morning, as well as a scrumptious spread.
The excitement was palpable as the Yeshiva Tiferes Moshe’s pre-1A talmidim celebrated the momentous occasion of receiving their first siddurim along with their parents and grandparents. Having spent the school year learning to read, the boys are now prepared to learn how to daven from a siddur.
Yeshiva Tiferes Moshe recently completed the fifth year of its after-school Mishnayos Program in memory of the three teenage k’doshim of the summer of 2014. Over 75 boys participated in the program on a weekly basis throughout the year and completed Maseches Shabbos.
“International bankers from New York,” “It’s all about the Benjamins,” and other similar statements are illusions to Jews and taken by many to be anti-Semitic tropes. Many are of the opinion that these “dog whistles” justify and, in fact, incite anti-Semitism.
