In an expression of love and care for the families and children of Israel, the students of the Bnos Malka Academy have undertaken a special project. In a desire to bring a smile to the faces of Israeli families displaced from their homes in the South, and to the families whose fathers or sons were called up to duty, our girls are sending the families fresh pizza pies.

Rabbi Mordechai Prus, a resident of Mitzpe Yericho, who, along with family members, initiated this project, witnessed the joy children and their parents experienced from this simple gesture of love. “Pizza is pretty universal, and when we saw the smiles from the children and the gratitude from the parents, we thought it would be a good idea to expand it.”

Bnos Malka first grade Morah Sharon Herzberg thought that this beautiful idea would be a worthwhile undertaking for her students. It has now become a school-wide effort. Toward that end, the girls will be reaching out to their relatives and friends to donate $10 per pie.

“Additionally, our students are making 100 brachos a day, and answering Amein, while having Eretz Yisrael in mind. May Hashem bring true shalom to Eretz Yisrael and to the world.”
