Do you know what you think about really important matters? Did you choose the right career path? How did your childhood affect you? Are the answers possibly locked inside of you? You may feel as though you need to know everything immediately and never take the time to truly contemplate.

As Mark Twain said, “The only way to keep your health is to eat what you don’t want, drink what you don’t like, and do what you’d rather not.” The truth is that your consciousness is made up of many layers, and you may be missing out on the most substantial material. You can, in fact, be afraid to find some of the answers. You most likely prioritize feeling “normal” over seeking your true self.

Do you even know how to check in with yourself? I got it all together. But I forgot where I put it. But seriously, take some time out of your oh-so-busy day to simply close your eyes and reflect, sweet friends. Lie in your bed or contemplate calmly in a warm bath. Do you feel fulfilled with your friends or partner? Are you at peace with your career or life path?

What emotions come to the surface? Try to unearth the real issue. Believe it or not, you know much more than you assume. The answers truly lie within. If things are not going your way, you need the power to summon up alternative solutions.

You may feel imprisoned by narrow circumstances, but many problems can actually be worked around. If you feel all alone, know this: There are some infinitely compassionate people in this world.

You are not stuck. Human beings can learn to be profoundly flexible creatures. You must increase your chances of fulfillment, sweet friends. Know what makes your life meaningful. You may be called upon by fate to rewrite the story of your life. You might have suffered profound loss or disappointment.

It’s been said, “Thinking is the hardest work there is, which is probably the reason so few engage in it.” But truly, try not to close off possibilities that lie before you. Do not retreat or feel even smaller in the face of a challenge. No one lives an unblemished life. Love, family, friendship, and work. So many issues. Do you have the necessary tools to handle those with any semblance of wisdom?

What story do you tell yourself about your past failures? Does your narrative sound like continuous despair and downheartedness? Failures and frustrations are not signs that you do not deserve happiness.

You may think that he would never have made that mistake. He did not have your childhood and may be predisposed to weakness in that specific area. Trust me, she will encounter defeat and debacles, just as you do.

Never lose sight of your own foolishness. Seek to learn about your inner life, but be aware that you do not know anyone else’s in sufficient detail. If you took a peek, no doubt, you would find the same desires, drives, and hopes.

Do not become an expert at beating yourself up for your flaws. Your greatest enemy may be impatience. Learn to take one day at a time in your harried life. And if you need to, take one hour at a time. Then again, it’s been said, “Half our time is spent trying to find something to do with the time we have rushed through life trying to save.”
