The seventh grade at the Bnos Malka Academy was spotted on Thursday in lively chavrusa sessions with lots of thoughtful discussion. The program marked the start of Shalsheles: A Study of Women in Tanach.

Each student chose a woman in Tanach to research, and the girls worked in groups to learn p’sukim, m’farshim, and midrashim to build a deeper understanding of her life and impact.

As the project continues, the girls will design aprons that reflect their figure’s story and highlight a midah they want to take on themselves. The unit will wrap up with a fun “Chopped”-style competition led by Mrs. Teichman, where the girls will showcase their work – aprons and all.
